The trailer of Nila Madhab Panda’s upcoming film KADVI HAWA is out and it’s quite gripping and thought-provoking.
The film stars Sanjay Mishra, Ranvir Shorey and Tillotama Shome. KADVI HAWA is touted to be first Bollywood film that talks about climate change. The story of the film is based on true stories from drought prone Bundelkhand region and the vanishing villages of coastal Odisha.
The trailer begins with an announcement that if the climate of Earth is not controlled then it will cause destruction and in the rest of the trailer we see exactly how this destruction is being caused to the environment.
In a scene when a teacher asks a student how many seasons are there he answers “Only two- Summer and Winter”, the miffed teacher asks him again, “Where did Rainy season go?” the child innocently replies, “We have rainy season for just 2-3 days.”
This scene reflects the bitter truth that we would be facing in coming few years. Sanjay Mishra and Ranvir Shorey’s character seems very moving and intense.
KADVI HAWA also received a special mention at the National Awards this year. Directed by the director of I AM KALAM fame Nila Madhab Panda and is produced by Drishyam Films. KADVI HAWA is scheduled to release on 24th November, 2017.
