Rahul Mittra has roped in Randeep Hooda to play the famous notorious dacoit ‘Sultana Daku’ in a biopic to be helmed by Madhureeta Anand.
The movie, goes on floors in April 2018, is based on Sujit Saraf's novel - The confessions of Sultana Daku.
The 2009 historical novel by Sujit Sara, is about the swaggering life of Sultana Daku said to be the most notorious dacoit in modern India's history during the 1920s.
A source close to the production informs that the shooting will take place in the Terai region of Uttar Pradesh and the makers will exploit the skills of Randeep Hooda as a champion horseman to give the film the needed authenticity.
And that’s not all, the source further informs that the movie will have action and racing sequences in Kazakistan as well.
Sultana Daku was famously also known for his horse Chetak named after Maharana Pratap's iconic horse.
Earlier Randeep Hooda has smartly portrayed real life characters of ‘Raja Ravi Verma, 'Charles Sobraj', 'Sarbjit' and with his added expertise on horse riding coming with this role, the makers of SULTANA DAKU seems to have made the perfect choice.
Produced by Rahul Mittra, CEO Wave Cinemas, SULTANA DAKU is presented by Raju Chaddha and is helmed by Madhureeta Anand who earlier worked with Randeep in MERE KHWABON MEIN JO AAYE in 2009.
