Bollywood Box Office Report Of The Week: 23rd November 2017

It is another sparkling week at the box-office, with a lot of films (including dubbed) up for release- The list includes Shree Sai Cine Vision’s GST- GHALTI SIRF TUMHARI, Sanjay Mishra’s KADWI HAWA, Mangesh Dhakde directed AJJI, Deepal Shivdasani’s JULIE 2 and the English film MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS, based on the Agatha Christie’s classic paperback of the same title. Having said that, the fight for pole position is likely to be between JULIE 2 and MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS.

Meanwhile, last week’s two major releases, TUMHARI SULU and AKSAR 2 saw an ordinary to poor run. While the Vidya Balan starrer netted 13 crore, the Zareen Khan venture could muster only around 3 crore, during the opening weekend. From the two only TUMHARI SULU can harbour hopes of a profitable end, given the reasonable 17 crore (all inclusive) cost.

With another 5 crore, GOLMAAL AGAIN has netted 202 crore in four weeks from India and is a blockbuster. GOLMAAL AGAIN has also impressed in the overseas grossing $7.25m.

Concluding with Aamir Khan’s Zaira Waseem starrer, SECRET SUPERSTAR, the film added another 2 crore thus netting 64 crore in four weeks from India and is an above average. SECRET SUPERSTAR has also done quite well in the overseas grossing $6.35m.
