This week will witness, perhaps the biggest opening of the year (for a Hindi film) and records will tumble like nine pin, as Yash Raj Films’ Ali Abbas Zafar directed TIGER ZINDA HAI hits the screens globally. Follow up to the blockbuster EK THA TIGER, the Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer is sure to embark on a historic start and continue to set the cash boxes clinking till Christmas, after which it will settle down for a long innings.

All the releases of last week, including Hollywood’s STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI, failed to make an impression. For the stat conscious, it was Anurag Kashyap’s Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer, MONSOON SHOOTOUT, which was the front runner, netting around 1.25 crore, during the opening weekend. The fate(s) of the other releases is obvious!
