The coming Friday’s prominent release is Anurag Kashyap’s Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer, MONSOON SHOOTOUT. As Nawaz is returning to his iconic gangster avatar (in an Anurag project), once again, the film is likely to charm the fans, especially in the hinterland. Other films listed for release are politician turned actor Sunil Singh’s GAMES OF AYODHYA, Amitabh-Jaya’s THE GREAT LEADER, MEDAL PET NAHI BHARTA, Kuldip Patwal’s I: DIDNT DO IT and MY FRIEND’s DULHANIA etc. As always, the disclaimer, some of the mentioned films may not even make it to the cinemas, due to various reasons!

Meanwhile, after an impressive opening day (8 crore), Excel Entertainment’s FUKREY RETURNS, picked up further on each subsequent day and by the end of the opening weekend the Pulkit Samrat, Richa Chadda and Ali Fazal starrer netted a big 32 crore opening weekend, which is just 3 crore shy of the entire run of the prequel, FUKREY (about 35 crore). Given the way FUKREY RETURNS is fairing during the weekdays, it is likely to end up around the 50 crore mark, by the end of the opening week. Having said that FUKREY RETURNS is already a hit and will in all likelihood end up as a super hit, in the final count.
