After the success of PADMAN, Bollyuwood superstar Akshay Kumnar has moved on to his next project KESARI, based on the Battle of Saragarhi, 1897. The shoot of KESARI has already begun and Akshay is also going in full swing.
The actor even shared a picture with the kids from the sets of the film on a micro blogging site. With that Akshay also gave a clue about their role in the film. These kids will be playing Afghani in the film.
Akshay is seen in his turbaned look from the film, while the kids in their Afghani look. Directed by Anurag Singh, KESARI marks the collaboration of Akshay Kumar and Karan Johar. However, earlier Salman Khan was also part of the project in the capacity of a producer. But later he backed out of it as KJO did all the work from casting to everything. Hence just lending his name to the project won’t be a right thing.
Parineeti Chopra is playing the leading lady of Akshay Kumar in the film. It is her first film with the actor.
Apart from Akshay's film, two more projects on the same subject are also in the pipeline - Ajay Devgn's SON OF SARDAAR and Randeep Hooda's THE BATTLE OF SARAGARHI.
Akshay Kumar's KESARI is slated for a 2019 Holi release.
